International Numismatic Congress Glasgow 2009
The XIV International Numismatic Congress will be held in Glasgow between Monday 31st August and Friday 4th September 2009. It will be organised on behalf of the University of Glasgow by the Hunter Coin Cabinet of the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, and with the collaboration of the International Numismatic Commission.
The Congress will be held at the University of Glasgow located in one of the liveliest and most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. The Hunterian is the oldest public museum in Scotland and is to be found in the magnificent Main Building of the University, designed in Gothic style by Sir George Gilbert Scott. Situated in the west end of Glasgow, a short distance from the city centre, the University is one of the city's best known landmarks.
